Lyn Nixon is an artist based on Wadjuk Nyungar country, in the Peel region of Western Australia. Her work explores the fragility of human existence and the relationships we have with the planet and each other.
Nixon holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Curtin University of Technology, Perth and has been a practicing artist since 2015, working primarily with photography and printmaking, although her practice has recently incorporated ceramics and multi media, to communicate some of the complex issues facing our world today. .
Nixon has regularly participated in a number group shows in Western Australia, and was a finalist in the 2022 Macquarie Emerging Artist Award, Sydney.
Her mixed media work has been selected for exhibitions in Australia, Korea and the USA.
